The TVI Take
Jason Blum's Netflix true-crime franchise returns with four cases, including 90 Day Fiancé's Geoffrey Paschel, assembled from bodycam footage, police interviews, and animated reenactments. The format competently chronicles the escalation patterns of coercive-controlling relationships but does very little to contextualize them beyond the survivor-testimonial frame, which is what separates entry-level true crime from work that actually advances public understanding of intimate-partner violence.
